This stunning 2018 Apostle Island National Lakeshore Silver Reverse Proof Quarter was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the San Francisco Mint producing proof coinage. What makes this quarter unique is the beautiful reverse proof finish, resulting in a magnificent effect where the revere proof coin's shiny design elements and frosted backgrounds makes a stunning contrast (photos above do not do this coin justice!). With a limited mintage of 200,000, it will be a true collector's item for years to come.
The Apostle Island National Lakeshore Quarter depicts the beautiful shoreline and islands of Lake Superior in the state of Wisconsin. The park features pristine stretches of sand beaches and coves; spectacular sea caves; remnand old-growth upper forests; a diverse population of wildlife; and a number of lighthouses.
